LUCERNE JUMP HOUR 1970's
This cosmic space-design Lucerne is very sought after among collectors and hard to find in decent condition. Alike other design-oriented brands of that era this one also contains a cheap pin-lever 1j or 17j BFG582 with plastic hour-disc found in many jump hours. The hours can be quickly advanced by turning the minutes back and forth near the zero mark. The metal minute-disc is press fitted onto a post with spring-loaded finger that kicks the hours when turned clockwise but it hides when turned counter-clockwise. The teeth on the plastic hour-discs tend to wear out resulting in rotating minutes without advancing hours but they can be occasionally rebuilt with some epoxy.
