Baume & Mercier still is a reputable watch brand with various ups and downs over the decades since 1830. As with most up-market brands also they needed to fill in the gap in the portfolio when the revolutionary changes occured in the watch industry. In result we have this pretty rare B&M Tronosonic tuning fork watch featuring the popular ESA9164 calibre rebranded simply to 19164.
The classic appearance of the dial with Roman numerals and fancy hands make it perfect for the traditional wearer as opposed to many other from that period which usually had a typical 1970's touch. This piece is simply goldplated 20 microns however solid-gold versions can also be found for big bucks.
