BASIS DIGITAL HORSESHOE JUMP HOUR 1970'

This horseshoe design has made this watch pretty collectible but don't aim very high. Design was the key in the 1970's and this motto is still alive today despite low or zero content. The movement is cheap pin-lever 1j or 17j BFG582 with plastic hour-disc found in many jump hours. A big advantage is the possibility to advance the hours very quickly by turning the minutes back and forth near the zero mark. The metal minute-disc is press fitted onto a post with spring-loaded finger that kicks the hours when turned clockwise but it hides when turned counter-clockwise. The teeth on the plastic hour-discs tend to wear out resulting in rotating minutes without advancing hours but they can be occasionally rebuilt with some epoxy.
